Should I buy a cell phone from amazon.com?

I'm looking into the LG VX8600. Amazon has super deals. I'm just worried if theres any defect in the phone or something like that, I would have to deal with them, not Verizon(unless i buy the extra protection from verizon for $5.99/month). How is Amazons customer service? Is it a reliable phone? Should I be nervous?

1. well... i dont know because normally i have used ebay.com and that works great, but since i've never used amazon.com, i dont know if you should use it or not use it.. i would go w/ ebay.com :D
2. If you are buying straight from Amazon, they have excellent service. If you are buying from a third party seller, they are a different story, but most are good sellers, and you can get compensated if you file a report with Amazon
3. I'd go with Letstalk.com. I bought my VX8600 from them for $0 with rebate. They have good customer service. I've purchased my last three cell phones from them and have no complaints.
