How would it be possible to keep a cell phone in good condition for two years?
I just got an LG spyder last wednesday and I haven't had any problems with the phone itself. It's just the cover i bought for it scratched up the back of the phone. Its not terrible, but what are some ways to keep it in good condition? I have been so paranoid..

- Yes, I did it! Buy a case.
- it helps to keep the plastic on the screen and/or keyboards for as long as possible. buy a case, and dont drop it[:
- buy a hard cover for it and dont take it with you into the bathroom.
- get a full cover for it or even a stick on skin then when you take it off the phones still fine the skin ? not so much ;p or a full case I'm in canada I havent a clue what a spyder is but they should have very good cases for it if its a common good selling model
- i had a pink razr for over 2 years and i only dropped it like less than 5 times bc im responsible hehe ya right, but i really didnt drop it
- just don't ever use it.
- Get a cover for it if they have one available. But any cell phone gets a few scratches on them if you put them in your pocket, your purse, set them on a table....etc. I have a BlackBerry that I've had for two years and it still works great despite it's scratches.
- get a really good cover for it and also dnt just put it anywhere keep it in a good place =]
- I have a Motorola that I have used for almost 4 years. And it's still in good shape. I just have a case for it. Of course, Verizon wants me to upgrade all the damn time. BTW prepaid is the way to go. No contracts, no credit checks, no bills, etc.
- Keep it in a special pocket in your purse or coat, where there are no other items being kept. Clean it daily with a soft cloth to wipe off any facial oils that get on it. When you're at home, set it on a flat surface and do not drag it across the surface. Be careful not to drop it, especially in the toilet or a mud puddle, or on concrete. Those types of things will do some of the worst damage. Also make sure that where you're carrying it isn't going to let you sit on it or fling it against anything. That's being a little overcautious, but i am one of those people who works very hard to take care of my personal possessions.
- Ok, you have a really nice phone so it is important for you to keep it in good shape. Next time you buy a cover for it, get a fabric or soft shell one, no one of those hard plastic covers. Also try to keep it in a secure place at all times like a pocket inside of your purse. This will keep it from getting scratched by keys amongst other things AND you are less likely to drop it. Another thing, since you have a "slider" phone, try not to slide it open or closed for than you HAVE to. I have a slider phone also and have only had it for a year, but since I slide mine open and closed so much, it doesn't really stayed closed anymore and it seems like it is going to break into in the are area where it is connected. Sliding phones are not attached by much in the slider region, so be careful.
