How do i get water out of my cell phone and my phone back to working condition?

My cell phone (LG 3300) was recently poured on with rain and some of the water got in. The phone suddenly started vibrating and doesn't stop vibrating. The screen remains black and occasionally the red light will come on. How do i fix this and, is this covered by warranty? (Verizon)

1. It's probably busted. They have water marks inside so Verizon will know water got in it. I don't think water damahe is covered by warrenty.
2. You can't. Once it gets wet it voids the warranty. There are usually special stickers inside the phones that chenge color when they get wet. Then oxidation will take over the circuit board and the rust will kill it about 90% of the time. Other times it works fine, oddly enough.

4. Remove the battery open up the unit (remove the case ) allow to air dry (Best to put in oven,NO MORE THAN 100 f deg !!) Give it one day to complety dry. Reassemble,test. Should be OK,if not, there has been damage because of short circuit. Odds of OK 75% or better!
5. You could try what I did when I slipped and fell into a fast moving stream with my brand new camera. Take the battery out (if possible, I don't know what would happen if you didn't),leave it completely open and set it upon your t.v. Leave your t.v. on overnight. Replace the battery in the a.m. and see if that helps. It really did work with my camera (PHEW!)and I have been using it non-stop since. *Note, I tried this technique for a few days and allowed the camera to really dry out. Hope this helps!
6. I dropped my cell in the toilet and it did the same vibrating thing. I never got the phone to work but the SIM card, even having visible water damage on it still worked. And once I left my cell in my pocket and ended up washing it with the pants in the washer for a few minutes but I got that one to work again. Use a towel to dry it off as much a poissble and then place it in a container with rice for a good week (rice absorbs water). Be sure the phone is burried good in the rice. The warranty will more than likely be voided because of the little sticker behind the battery which will prove it was damaged by water but it depends on the kind of insurance you have. They might give you a replacement, like a refurbished cell phone of a different make or model.
7. I once completely submerged a turbidimeter (on accident, mind you) and I did the following: 1. Immediately remove the battery 2. open it up as much as possible 3. Back at the office I used a rag and Q-tip to remove all visible moisture 4. I then filled every opening with silica gel packets Wait a few days before restoring power and attempting use. My turbidimeter worked just fine after this treatment.
