lg chocolate cell phone question?

Hi, i just bought lg chocolate cell phone and i cant use the net. It always writes network not avaible whatever page i tried to go to. And i think i activated everything, it just says in manual that i should have that icon on that shows i can connect (gprs). What else should i do to access net from my phone?
