How can I use iTunes with my LG "chocolate" cell phone?

How can I get iTunes to recognize my "chocolate" as if it were an ipod? The rep who sold it to me at the verizon store said this was very easy (?)

1. i-Tunes is made especially for i-pod, try windows media player 10.0 and sync on to your portable device
2. Verizon lied! Choco can't play all itunes formats. only mp3 from your own collection. iTunes won't sync the choco, you'll have to make your dessert using other ingredients!
