how do you put music on a lg chocolate cell phone?

hi every one... i just bought a brand new lg kg800 cherry chocolate slider and i went to put music on the phone. but my computer wont let me. the other day i was talking to a friend about this problem and he said his brother had the same problem and that i needed to buy a mempory card, is this true? were can i get one ? how much do they cost? and how do i format it/ put it in the phone? please..... HELP any information you have is helpful.

1. first of all the chocolete is a great choice. At verizon they have a kit you have to buy that has the usb cord ,software cd and memory car. IT has everything think you need
2. install the software available in that cd which you got with your cell phone. now connect your phone and your computer via data cable. now brows the phone from my computer or by using that software. you will get the options to transfer music to the phone there.
