Using an Unlocked ATT phone with Sprint service.?

I recieved a new Blackberry curve as a gift. The phone is an ATT phone but I have Sprint service. I have gotten the unlock codes and am going to take it to the Sprint shop to have the service activated. I know that Sprint phones do not have SIM cards and the ATT ones do. Does Sprint allow a switch like this? Is there anything that I should be aware of when I go to the Sprint store to activate the new phone?
