Can I use my att sim card in an att go phone as a replacement?

My daughter broke her phone and att wants me to pay a lot to replace it or add to my contract. Can I buy a att go phone as replacement phone and just put her current sim card in it. Will all the functions work?

1. Hey, I work for AT&T and would love to answer your question. Ofourse you can, With AT&T the Sim card holds all your daughters information, but you a Go Phone at walmart and insert him sim card, her number will stay the same and so will your rate plan, IT WILL NOT BECOME PREPAID just becuase its in a prepaid phone, so no worries. :) If you have any more questions IM me... brittanybgulley
