What can a person do when they are being grossly overcharged by their cell phone company?

We have been overcharged by the thousands in the last year by ATT Cingular 2007 2008. For mistakes that they said they would fix yet never did. They did not adjust or credit our auto pay with free phone credit and did not reinburse our visa accounts. Yet instead they continued charging us the regular rates + the overcharges. In gross amounts exceeding our monthly charges that are normally supposed to be within the under 500 a month limit. Instead they charged us in the 1000's.Now we are being bounced back to different offices within the ATT corp. Because nobody seems to want to reinburse us back to our now, over the limit visa. How many of you have had the same problems?. We have been overcharged by the thousands in the last year by ATT Cingular 2007 2008. For mistakes that they said they would fix yet never did. The unfortunate thing is we need this plan. No other cell carriers honor the North American plan which covers US, Mexico, Caribean, Canada and Alaska. We have to pay because they will ruin our credit. We have notated the account as not paying until they sort it out and it cannot effect our credit until we reach an agreement

  1. switch companies and dont pay the cancelation fees.
  2. Do NOT just switch companies and just not pay. ATT might try and ruin your credit then. I would get every shred of evidence together and then threaten to sue the hell out of them. Stop the autopayments. Cancel any charges that were applied to your Visa that shoudnt be. If they cant be canceled, challenge the charges. My friend had the same problem with TMobile. Do not pay part of the money to try and appease them, because it will not help. If they don't respond to threats, then sue. You are losing waaay more than 1000s here. They can ruin your credit and make your life hell. EDIT: if you cannot get a hold of comeone who wil fix it for you, it is time to take it to the next level. This is serious. Contact Visa. Prohibit all charges from ATT and contact a lawyer.
  3. First thing to do is write an e mail to one of many executives that always are on the contact pages for most companies. Also contact your State Better Business Bureau, companies hate when you contact them, as they know usually this could end up resulting in fines. Third: Go to Sprint . With their Simply Everything Plan, for just $99.99 a month, includes unlimited minutes, unlimited data, unlimited text, unlimited TV, unlimited Sprint music Store, Its the best unlimited plan on the market, and you know exactly how much you will pay every month. And as you add phones the rate plan price goes down. IT'S GREAT!!!
