if you have a verizon wireless phone and you text somebody with a verizon wireless phone, is it free?

i just want to know if i text to a verizon wireless and i have a verizon wireless, do i have 2 pay or is it free.

1. if you have a text plan it is. if you don't it's not.
2. If you have the 500 message for $10 texting plan or higher you get unlimited IN texting which means you can text other Verizon users for free. If you don't have the plan it costs.
