- http://www.whitefence.com/index.html?mrc=Gwhitefence just put in your address, and see if you can get a better deal in your area!
- depends on if you are talking about long distance plans or local service. local service is usually limited to certain companies unless like you said , internet, however long distance is easy. if you dont have a block on your line, you can change yourself by internet. there are many plans available, including unlimited. i use ECG at 2 cents per minute ,billed in 6-second periods, it is one of the cheapest providers around (check for availability)!
- yes you can, there are many companies that provide local phone service.. but they must petition to the local public service comission, and ahve a deal with the RBOC in the area that they plan on serving.. depending on where you live will depend on what companys are available for you to switch to.. switching service from one carrier to another will not improve the quality of the phone service that you recieve, as all of the outside wiring is owned by the RBOC, and leased to the CLECS who resell the lines to you, sometimes the CLECs own there own switch, or sometimes they just resell the entire service from the RBOC.. basicllay switching carriers is only helpful for improved customer service, and lower rates, the actuall line quality will be exactlay the same..
