i had home phone installed from att tranfer from another phone. co. cant receive call i can call out ?

cant receive in coming call for the new number i have from .att i can dail out i tranfer from another phone co.

1. It can take several hours for the translations and routing to take effect. The delay is usually with the old phone company, not the new one. How long has this been in service now?
2. Sounds like you are not on the right line, which is common.Call a friend which has caller ID and see what number shows up.
