Can you use a Sprint phone if you have ATT service?

My cell phone plan is through at&t, and my phone is no longer working properly. I still have about a year left on my contract, so I don't think I could get another free phone until my contract is up and I re-sign. My dad gave me his old Sprint phone. Would I be able to use it?

1. No not unless the phone is an unlocked phone
2. Sorry - won't work. ATT uses a "sim card" that Sprint does not use..you can probably get a cheapie refurb phone - look at the ATT website and maybe ( not positive ) one of the pay as you go phones would work. Look at the back of your ATT phone and under where the battery goes is the little sim card ( usually white and rectangular in shape )
