Help with cell Phone : att service?

Okay so i have a blackberry curve from att. I am going to another country for a business trip and i was wondering that if i could just take out the att sim card and input the other countries sim card, if that service would work on my phone.

1. it will work as long as they are from the same company
2. I think you might need the phone unlocked first. Call AT&T customer care & ask for the unlock code. If you already are an AT&T customer, the unlock code should be free.
