how do you make a sprint phone work for att service?

I have a samsung up stage cell phone but i have att service. i want my upstage to work on the att network is this possible and how?

1. No, it's not possible. Sprint and AT&T use two completely different networks. Sprint uses CDMA technology where the phone number is programmed into the phone itself. AT&T uses GSM where the phone number is programmed into a SIM card that is then inserted into the phone. They two are completely incompatible. It's like trying to get an FM signal when your radio only has an AM band. EDIT The two answers after mine are technically correct; however, they do not apply in this situation. Those scenarios ONLY apply if you're talking about GSM phones. The Samsung Upstage is strictly a CDMA phone and thus cannot ever work on a GSM network like AT&T.
2. The only way to be able to use any phone with any network is if you buy an unlocked world phone, then you'll be able to transfer the sim card and use with any service.
3. It is possible but you have to pay $$$ to get your phone unlocked from one service provided to another. Hope this helps!
