Upgrading my ATT phone?

I am on a family plan and our two years are up so we are eligible to upgrade our phones. Im wondering what i need to have to go to the ATT store and upgrade it by myself. Im pretty sure they wont let me upgrade unless i have some information about the account. Does anyone know what i need to bring or have?

1. you don't really need anything but your account number and the sim cards from the phones. Also, you can do the upgrade online.
