How can i get music onto my verizon wireless phone for free?

I bought a Samsung SCH-u740 and i want to know how i can get music onto it for free. Can i somehow transfer it from itunes? I don't want to have to pay money for something i shouldn't be paying for. Can someone please tell me how i can get music onto it? Do i need a micro SD card or something?

  1. you need a micro sd card to load the songs into your phone... if you want to go from itunes to your verizon phone you would need to convert them back to regular mp3 so that you can transfer them to the u740.
