LG Wireless Phone

Get a ringtone on a verizon wireless phone without paying for it?

I have a verizon wireless chocolate and a juke, just wondering how can i get a custom ringtone without downloading one? My phone bill was crazy last month from downloads. I have heard of places that do free ones but there is always fine print. Thanks!

  1. It depends what phone you have, but myxertones.com is good. I have the enV and the ringtones are free. Sends 'em in a pix message.
  2. VENTONES a good majority of verizon phones are blocked from receiving free ringtones from websites. and on some phones, verizon has Deliberately disabled the ability to receive a text message with the ringtone. A safe and very sure way of getting ringtones for free on most verizon phones (with a memory card) is the following: you will need to buy 2 things a) a memory card for your phone b) a usb data card reader (search on google or amazon for a good price) use this free website to make a ringtone from an audio file Ventones *. Insert your sd memory card with the usb card reader adapter into your computer's usb port. *. Make the ringtone using Ventones, and instead of sending it to your phone, download it to a folder on your pc. *. Open your My Computer icon, and search for the the ringtone you made from Ventones. *. Copy and paste (or drag and drop) the ringtone from your pc, to the folder on your memory card labeled "My Sounds". *. Remove your memory card and place back into phone. *. Locate the ringtone in Get it Now - My Sounds *. Now, create a new text message, attach the ringtone, and send it to YOUR OWN NUMBER *. When you receive the message download it . *. Once you hear the song play choose Options - Save as Ringtone
  3. you can make your own if you want, you can get free regular mp3 songs using limewire but have to convert it first using audacity or bitpim then transfer from your PC to your phone using cable or bluetooth.
  4. myxertones.com trust me it works with verizon phones as i have done it. and its perfectly FREE. how it works is go to the website and search for the ringtone you want.. then it will give you a number and you send a text message with that number to 69937 (myxer) a few minutes later myxer sends you a picture message with a sound file attatched (your ringtone) and when you recieve the messege you go to options on your phone and save it as a ringtone. sometimes it takes a while to receive the ringtone other times its pretty short.....on average 3-5 min. and lastly there is an unlimited amount of times you can use it. so have fun!
