If I have my Verizon Wireless contract transferred to another person, can they use my New Every Two upgrade?

My Verizon Wireless contract is about to end in 4 months and I am eligible to get $100 off an upgrade to a new phone, a promotion that is called "New Every Two", if I sign another 2 year agreement. This is in addition to the discounted price customers usually get for signing a 2 year contract. If I transfer my cell phone contract to someone else, does the eligibility for the "New Every Two" discount transfer as well?

1. Technically, but the easiest way to do it to insure that the person will receive the discount is to upgrade it while it is still under your name and you sign the new contract and then transfer the service to their name. Either way they are extending the contract and take responsibility for it but it causes less system issues to do it this way.
