how much money does it take to terminate a verizon wireless contract in a family plan?

we want to terminate our verizon wireless contract before it ends in 6 months...we have a family contract and i know its a 250.00$ fee, but does that mean its a 250.00 fee per person or for the whole family? we want to split our contract because we want to start two different contracts in our family. if we terminate our contract earlier does that mean that we can not rejoin verizon wireless under a new contract or is it still possible? thanks!

1. That fee will be per person on the plan. So it can get expensive. You can restart a new contract with Verizon once you have cancelled. If the only reason you want to cancel is to split the plan, talk to the Verizon customer service. They may be able to split the plan without making any cancellation.
