When you update a Phone with Verizon are all phones free?

I get a upgrade for my Verizon wireless phone in August. I was wondering if when you do get a upgrade is the new phone free or do i get a discount. I have a samsung realitty right now. My plan is the 2 year contract. The phone i want to get is the Casio G'z One Commano. Would that be free? or discounted? because rightnow its like 200 dollars or somthing.

1. you only get a discount when your available for an upgrade, however some phones do become free. if you buy online at verizon.com the casio g'z one commando (good choice by the way:) will cost $200
2. typically you get $50 off a new phone that can be redeemed as of 2 months to your contract expiring. so you should be eligible right now. so if you choose a phone that after all rebates is $50 then yeah your phone would be free but if the phone is $200 after mail in/instant rebates then you'd still have to pay $150 for it.
