is there a way to turn off all of the phone function (not including wifi) on a verizon iphone 4G?

Im heading overseas for a month but i still want to use my iphone to play games and listen to music but i dont want to accidentally get charged with crazy internation roaming charges. is there a way to turn off the iphone 4s phone functions and just leave it with wifi and everything else?

1. yes. the easiest way it to turn on airplane mode at settings app>airplane mode 'on', and then proceed to settings app>WiFi>WiFi 'on'
