How do I setup my voicemail on my ATT phone?

When I first got my phone my voicemail was activated and now for some reason my voicemail is not hooked up anymore. When the machine asks for my number it says that its not recognized. Do I have to call costumer service or do I go to an ATT store so they can set it up? Thanks!
