Why is my LG Xenon cell phone text message sequence out of order?

I have an LG Xenon and can't seem to get the text messages in order when in conversation view. My outgoing messages always appear to be sent at the present local time however when i receive a text from someone (in the same timezone) the timestamp on the text is behind by 4 hours, consequently messing up the flow in conversation view. I understand that this is a fairly common issue, however I have been looking for a solution for a while now and can't seem to find anything that works. I have even tried setting the time four hours ahead manually, however the incoming texts will still be 4 hours behind actual local time.

1. It's weird, I have the same phone as you and it like..changes times. So all my messages get out of order. I think its a software malfunction. Try calling AT&T?
