how can I get out of an ATT wireless phone contract?

I have one year left of super expensive ATT contract, or rather my daughter does. She signed up for a 2 year contract without consulting me. I'm told she'd have to pay a $106 early termination fee to get out now. Also, what do you think is the best wireless phone company? The best value?

1. Yes there is an expensive early termination fee and honestly, the only two 'best' phone companies are AT&T and Verizon but both have the same value
