Can I sell my Verizon LG Dare and get a new phone?
I've had the LG Dare for about 60 days now and I hate it. I gave it the benefit of the doubt and lived with it for a few months but now I want to get rid of it. Are you allowed to sell the phone? Is there an expense involved with having Verizon switch the service to another phone?

- This is what I think and I am pretty sure about it: you can sell the phone wherever you want; eBay etc. Then you can go get a new phone and just put the SIM card in and it should work as long as the new phone is a verizon.
- The phone is yours, you can sell it whenever you would like to. You will still be responsible for your contract though. If you break your contract before the 2 years are up it is a $175 early termination fee. I suggest waiting to sell your Dare until you find a new Verizon phone to activate on your line. If you buy directly from Verizon they will charge you the full retail price of a phone because you are not elligble to upgrade yet. If you buy from ebay, craigslist, etc, make sure the phone's serial number is ok before purchasing, most of the time they are stolen phones or the previous owner has oustanding bills and you cannot activate the phone. You will need to contact customer service when you have the new phone to do what is called an ESN change to transfer your number to the new handset.
- Yes you can.. but what you will have to deal with your contract first. you have two options b4 selling: 1. find another fone, call verizon and switch your number to the other phone (doesn't matter what phone as long as its CDMA compatible) 2. cancel the contract = $175 fee then you sell your phone to the highest bidder
