My wifi is too slow, what shall i do?
I have a belkin router with a cable modem downstairs and upstairs my internet is too slow, it takes forever to load. I have reset the router thousands of times, i have used all different channels and it still takes forever to load. But on my mobile phone which i use from the same place as my computer, has no problems at all, the internet always loads fast. So is something wrong with my computer or do i need a new wireless adaptor?

- Your need to be more near the router when on wifi move near to you router then connect.
- A mobile phone is a tiny screen compared to a monitor and only requires a fraction of the data normally needed, so it's not surprising it's faster. If you're using cable, it should be good enough speed wise, but you don't say whether a PC is downstairs as well, which could be hogging all the bandwidth. It's pointless to keep resetting the router, it won't change anything. The wifi adapter may be an old B type (very old) or a G type (couple of years old) and the newest N type would probably improve things but it's not guaranteed if the walls are quite thick
- I would recommend you try Speed Test to deal with the thing. http://bycn.net/download/2011/0518/Speed_Test_29.html
