Will I be charged for using the internet on my phone if I'm am using wifi?

I just want to make sure because on my previous phone (blackberry bold 9780) I was charged, even though i was using wifi! that blackberry got stolen, so now i am using a nokia c3, and i am on Rogers. I do not have a data plan. :) thanks so much!
