New Iphone 3gs is not working with home wifi?

I have wifi at home which my laptop is connected to, and another iphone has access to. However, I just bought this Iphone 3GS and for some reason it will not enter in the correct IP address on my wifi information on the phone. It says its connected, but the IP address is incorrect. I am using a Belkin router with the address 192.168.2.1 which shows that guests are able to connect as long as they have my password. However, when typing in the password on my iphone, it shows im connected but it doesnt work since it connects with the wrong IP address. I've tried everything that I know how to do, like renewing the lease on the iphone and forgetting the network. Also have tried putting it on airplane mode then taking it off and connecting again. Nothing thus far has worked. I am able to connect to other networks just fine. Any ideas?

1. Happened to me too. Take it back to apple and get it switched out. It might just be a networking problem at your house so try to force reset your phone and then re do it might work.
