How do I set mp3s as ringtones on Verizon LG Venus?

Hey. I've just got the LG Venus from Verizon. I have a SD card, and have put some of my own music on the phone and played it. But, I can't figure out how to set my own mp3s (parts of songs) as ringtones. Can anyone help?

1. u have to cut it down go to myxertones.com and make ur custom ringtones on the site its free then u send it to ur phone in a text message.
2. You will need a program on your computer that can cut the song into a smaller part and then you have to send the song by email attachment to your phone the email address for your phone is YOURNUMBERHERE@vzw.com be sure to include the area code
