How can I text faster on my Verizon LG phone?

I own a Verizon LG phone and am tired of pressing buttons and waiting to press them again in order to send a text message. My friend was telling me something about "predictive texting." Is there a way I can make texting easier on this phone I have now?? Thanks!

4. Your friend was on the right track. "Predictive texting" is known as T9 on most phones. Your Verizon LG phone should have a setting that allows you to switch to T9 when writing a message. When typing in T9 you press a single key for each letter you want, and the phone "guesses" the word you're typing on the fly, drawing from a dictionary stored in the phone's memory. For example: HELLO would be H:4 E:3 L:5 L:5 O:6 Words that are made up of the same number keys (like "of" and "me") can usually be cycled through with a phone's "Next" key (usually the "0" key). It takes a little getting used to, but after a while it becomes like second nature. So in short, enable T9 on your LG to get to faster texting :)
