LG Wireless Phone

Can I create a new Verizon Wireless account with an older phone they no longer sell?

I have a phone thats about 2 years old now, the LG Dare. I like it a lot and still use it. But I need to start a new account and contract now, because I am removing myself from my previous one where I was an add-on line. Can I still use my Dare? Or do I have to purchase a new phone?

1. You should be able to use it although personally i would get a new phone.
2. You should still be able to use your Dare. I made a new Pay & Talk account for a really old Samsung flip phone through Telus (when I mean old, I really mean OLD! It has a monochrome screen with a blue backlight, it's at least an inch thick and you pull out the antenna for better signal). I'm not sure what their policies are on contracts. I don't see why you can't use your Dare, but they might make you get a new phone with a new plan. Ask them first to make sure.
