If I stop paying my att cell phone will i get a early termination fee?
I can no longer afford my cell phone bill and will probably just let them shut me off, will I still get an early termination fee if they shut off for non payment? and or will they continue to bill my regular monthly service?

- They can add the early termination fee to your outstanding balance, if you stop paying. More importantly, your credit is going to be wrecked, pretty much. They will report the non-payment to the credit reporting agencies and you will have a very difficult time getting new service or credit from anyone else. You should seriously reconsider this. Contact their customer service department and see if they can work with you. Perhaps they can reduce some of your services and let you stretch out the payments. Just stopping the payments is a very, very bad idea with long-term negative implications beyond just losing phone service.
- not sure about att rules but they will cont to bill you for so long then cut the contract resulting in a ETF................Also it will not be good on your credit history....may even keep you from buy a car, house or what ever
- You will incur the early termination fee as well as a monthly bill until they stop your service.
