  1. The instructions are going to vary from phone to phone, and it's not as easy as just entering a short code number. Cell Phone companies don't want you switching phones like this because they gave you a really big discount on the phone hardware itself provided you had a contract with them for 2-3 years. If your phone is asking you for a PIN code, then on top of the regular security preventing you from moving a SIM card from AT&T to T-Mo or vice versa, you also have a PIN or PUK code set on your SIM card. AT&T can help you with that part, but they certainly aren't going to help you unlock your phone to other SIM cards.
  2. Your card can only go into another AT&T phone, and the same with T-Mobile to T-Mobile, and so on. It drives me crazy too. I have a drawer full of nice phones, but cannot use them because they are all different providers. There are many good websites that sell refurbished AT&T cell phones at good prices. Good luck.
  3. Look uP a turorial on YouTube how to unlock a gsm phone
  4. can`t be done
  5. luke dizzy may be right or you can also go to any shop which can unlock the phone , you will find a number of persons ready to do it for a meagre 20 bucks
  6. Well if you are tied to a particular network all you have to do is to unlock your phone to use it any other GSM network. You can get the unlock code through online. Give your IMEI number & get the unlock code for ur mobile .......... you also get through online..........I will suggest the website Unlock-Zone.com which is doing good service .....you can approach this website.
  7. If you have a friend that has t-mobile account have them customer service and unlock it It's free and they will walk you through it. It will take about 5 minutes.
  8. Call t-mobile (you don't have to be a customer) tell them you need to unlock the phone to be used on a different carrier. They should be able to get the unlock code as well as walking you through the process. Word of caution ~ there are often features that do not work on unlocked phones when added to a new carrier. Usually the main one is data and pic messages. I'm not saying this will be the case for you, but it does end up that way frequently! Good luck!
  9. It can be done but it might take a few days if you do it with TMobile. However, is the sure way to go. You might really loose some features on your phone but many times, it is worth it.
