Can I use an att sims card on any att phone?

Im getting a new phone soon but I dont want the data plan. If I get a phone that doesnt require the data plan and then switch the sims card to a smartphone, will it work? Would they find out if I use the blackberrys features or just by putting the sims card on the phone?

2. Yes,you can put an ATT sim card in any ATT or Cingular phone and it will work. If you don't have a data plan and you put the card in a phone that requires a data plan, like an iphone, and they some how find out they will bill you for a data plan without telling you. Also, when you order a new phone through them when they send it to you, they also send you a new sim card because they're only suppose to work fro about two years. You can keep the one you have or you can call and switch it over, nothing changes or anything, you just have a new sim card. If you don't do that then still hang on to the extra card because if the one you have now gets ruined or just stops working you can call and get it switched then, if not they cost about $25 for a new one.
