Porting my home phone to my current phone?
We are getting rid of our home phone, but don't want to lose the number. So, instead of adding a line, would we be able to port our home phone to my sons current line at Sprint, then port his current cell phone number to ATT as a new line under my contract? He's wanted the iPhone since it came out but has a year left with Sprint, and I didn't want to pay the termination fee.

- ok, so you want to complicate things... you are best off porting the existing number to a new line of service... the way you describe how you want to do this is not going to work... to port your landline number, you would have to conatct sprint.... (never heard of anyone porting a number to a line of service that was already active, but i am sure that it could be done) once the port is complete your home phone service should be automatically disconnected, and you will LOSE the current number, so you would not be able to port the sprint # over to ATT this way... to port the sprint # to ATT you need to contact ATT... once you port the sprint # over to ATT your sprint service will be canceled and you will need to pay any early termination fees.... but, then you can open a new line of service with sprint, and have sprint port your land line number over...
