can i make free international phone calls if my blackberry is connected through WIFI?

I just got the new Blackberry Curve 3G and was wondering if i can make free international phone calls while catching WIFI. i think that when i am connected through WIFI, i can make regular calls that don't count towards my minutes but is that the case for calls outside the country? TIA

1. No. If you connect Wifi to your berry, the wifi is just for internet browsing and nothing else. If you make a call while on wifi, your phone will use the 2G radio band, which applies to your call plan and stuff. So to sum up, unless it is free anyway to make international calls for you according to your plan, using wifi will not get you free international calls. Unless you use Skype, which is free.
