Is Metro PCS a good reliable phone company?

I was considering switching over to Metro PCS and wanted to know if it is a good phone company. I currently have ATT/cingular phone carrier and its good except for the bill. Our monthly bill for the family plan of 4 phones is a little over $200 every month and so metro's low prices seem good...anyone who has Metro PCS, how is the service and coverage. what do yo like and not like about it? ive seen the coverage map on the website but if anyone knew in particular how the service in the NYC area that would be greatt thank you our att bill isnt from extra features but its still really high, the only extra thing we have is unlimited text which is $30

1. Your smart for checking the coverage map. As for your at&t bill, that is really damn expensive. I have five lines and its slightly over a hundred. Maybe you should kick back on the extra features. I don't live in nyc but most carriers allow you to try their service for 30 days and if you don't like it they will no charge anything as long as the phones are returned in like new condition.
