What is the best way to get internet on second PC that is too far away to directly connect to router?

I have a home office in my basement, that is set up on Qwest DSL through my phone line. I have a wireless router in my office with 4 ports that are connected to three computers via ehternet cable. My wife would like to move one of my PCs upstairs to the kitchen for family use. I don't want to run an Ethernet cable all over my house. Wat is the best way to get internet on the PC I put in the kithcen? Should I just buy a USB wireless adapter for my Netgear router? I would prefer to not have to connect wirelessly but I am not sure what is the best option.

1. Netgear sells a device (see link) that runs through your power system. It's called Powerline and one plugs in at the router and the other to an outlet close to the other PC. 2. the usb wireless adapter connects to your computer so it can connect to the wire less router. under $35.00 and normal work great. use encryption and you be fine.
3. I DO believe you are confused, as a wireless router does NOT require ethernet cable for connections. ALSO, you do NOT put the adaptor on the router!

If you do not want to connect wirelessly, there is a possibility that you can use power line adapters, you can get these off http://www.ebuyer.com/ or even local stores such as PC World or maplins! If your house is on the same power circuit, all you do is plug one adapter into a wall socket and and a small ethernet cable to the router, and upstairs plug the other power line adapter into a wall socket, and the other small ethernet cable into the back of the PC, this is faster and more reliable than wireless connections! Alternatively you can buy a wireless access point that will Boost the wireless signal Hope this helps!
5. get a wireless usb or pci receiver for it. or put a second network card in a computer and run cable from that to your new one.use internet connection sharing in ctrl panel. you may be able to put a wireless nic in both and use the one to provide the connection like above
