Get hired to Verizon or any other cellular phone retail store...without experience/knowledge in cell sales?

I was thinking of applying to work at a Verizon Wireless retail store, but would I be able to work and sell their phones? I don't know any info about any of their products/plans/etc. to answer any question a customer may ask...Would they train me so I would know everything first? Or just not hire me at all?

1. They will have to train whomever they hire, so it may be a question of choosing between someone with no sales experience at all and someone who just doesn't know Verizon phones. It wouldn't hurt to apply for the job.
