Will my Verizon LG Ally work on the virgin mobile network?

My verizon bill is ridiculous for the amount I actually use my LG Ally...basically texting and data only. The virgin mobile plan looks very attractive, but can my Ally be used on their network?

1. Doubtful. Especially if you have a contract, since breaking it will cost you a chunk of change. My question is why you would buy a smartphone for just texting and calls. Do you do any data downloading? If you don't have a data plan, you get charged per megabyte on the fly.
