new verizon wireless phone in middle of contract?

im about a year into my 2 year contract and i want the new LG venus. I dont want to pay the full 350 for the phone.can my dad go in there and get a new 2 year contract for me and get the phone for the new 2 year contract price? any help on this is helpful! thanks

1. No, you can't get the phone without paying full price unless you wait until your update. I tried believe me. I ended up paying 500 for my voyager because they failed to mention that to me. I know it's not what you want to hear, but I hope it helps!
2. Technically you can. If your dad is allowed to get another line (based on credit), you can get a new line. But you will have to pay $9.99 to add it to your plan (assuming you have a family plan). And you will have to continue paying for your current line till your contract is up, unless you want to pay the early termination fee. So basically you'll be spending $200 for the Venus, and $9.99 for a year for each phone. Which would end up being more than $200. It's cheaper if you just buy the phone out right.
