LG Wireless Phone

How to create a wireless home network when my broadband provider uses the mobile phone (cell ) network?

As stated the broadband is neither phone line or satellite but uses mobile or cell system network It is called wireless broadband but the modem is in fact an electrical and USB device with no means of connecting to a router. Using a network adapter in my computer I can connect to the internet but not to my other computer or printers etc all help will be appreciated Regards

  1. Forget the wireless configuration. However, I use my cell phone to connect to the internet using LG digital phone with Verizon as cell phone provider. My husband uses his computer and cell phone combo to get online. All we have in expense is two cables and two software disks purchased from Verizon. We use our free minutes, usually 9 pm to 6 am weekdays and all weekend long, so very economical. Slow, yes. Use the Quick Connect 2 for latter - if want faster (not much faster, just 52 kbs) then use their National Access for $80 per month per cell phone.
  2. Basically the USB modem you have connected to the one computer will double as a router. Just set up a wireless network using the computer that the modem is connected to. I am sending you a link to explain how this is done, but if for some reason it won't work, that same link also provides directions for setting up a wireless network without a router. http://www.hardwaresecrets.com/article/418
