LG Wireless Phone

If I put At&t's non-smart phone's sim card into a blackberry 8320 , can I still use the wifi?

So, right now I've samsung impression with At&t. It's obviously a non-smart phone. I really like blackberry and I found this deal where I can get blackberry 8320 model from a friend. I looked up online, this model does have wifi. If I take the current phone's, that is impression's sim card and put it in the blackberry 8320 phone, I know the phone, text messaging everything will work. I just wanna know, if the wifi would still work or would I need the data plan? I just wanna use the wifi at available spots along with my phone and text messaging service thats it. Thank you :)

  1. AT&T requires data plans on any smart phone currently being actively-used. You will get a text message telling you to call AT&T to add the data plan to avoid overages and other fees.
  2. AT&T will add the required data plan to your account as soon as the network detects you're using a blackberry.
