Can I Keep My Old ATT Phone Number When I Transfer to GO Phone?

My contract is now ending and i am planning on changing my phone contract to a prepaid Go Phone. I am wondering whether i can keep my Phone number from my Att plan when i transfer to a go phone. That is all. Thanks :)
