I deleted my Cell phone pic?

I accidentally deleted a picture on my cellphone (just a simple phone, nothing fancy). The phone is by LG, and service is from Verizon. is there any way to get my pic back? or is there any way to view it somewhere? is the pic only viewable on the actual cellphone I took it with (I didn't send it to anybody). There is no way to view the pic somehow right? its deleted, its gone forever?
