Where can I get a up-to-date cell phone that does not require me to have internet?

I was looking at Verizons phones/plans and every phone that I wanted was requiring me to have internet for $29.99 a month...is there a way to get around that? I am needing 2 phones (family plan) and I don't want to pay $60 for internet, thats insane! I will rarely ever use it, so its money down the drain...so where can I go to get a phone thats similar to this type of phone: LG Ally or Motorola Cliq...w/o them making me have internet..I hope this makes sense and someone can help me out...my contract is up w/ tmobile next month and I really want to switch to someone else.

1. If you want a smart phone, you're going to be required to get a data plan regardless of which carrier you choose. That's just a fact of cell phones these days. Every carrier has phones that don't require a data plan. They aren't the sexiest phones available but they are available.
