What's wrong with my phone?

My phone keeps saying "Searching for service." It always works at home and at my school, but today it's not, and I don't know what's wrong with it. When I try to call someone, it says "Warning! Service Not Available!" I can't text or call anyone. I have the LG En-V 2 from Verizon Wireless.

1. try unlocking it or get a new sim
2. The cell tower in your area might be down. Of course, it could also be a problem with your phone. Turn it off, remove the battery, wait 30 seconds, put the battery back in and turn it back on. If it still doesn't work then give Verizon a call to see if it is a problem with their tower, or if it is your phone.
