On the LG Renoir phone, how do you link your 3G internet to the internal GPS?

You have to be connected to the internet, to view maps through the GPS. I can view Google Maps while connected to a wireless network, but when connected to 3G internet the maps don't load. Do you have to use a certain internet browser, or input special settings, to use Google Maps with 3G internet? The LG Renoir comes with a poorly explained instruction manual, which is why I need your help. I'm using the Opera internet browser, if that helps.

2. This should just work. There's no special settings involved. Either the browser isn't working on the phone properly, or you have some issue with your 3G signal. Dump the LG and get an Android-based phone. Has Google Maps and voice navigation built right in.
