LG Wireless Phone

My phone died can I buy a go phone and use my sim card in it?

I have a regular 2 year ATT plan but my phone has died. I dont have the money right now to go buy a nice phone and since my contract isnt up yet Its not where I can get another phone at reduced price. If I go buy a go phone can put my sim card in it will it work the same as if I bought a phone from the ATT store to use with my already existing account?

  1. Yups Contracts are just contracts for the sim Normally the phone comes for 'Free' or 'reduced cost' Go for it ;)
  2. SIM cards cross between phones easily, as long as they're by the same company. I used to recommend it all the time when I sold phones, if people needed something on the cheap. Of course, keep in mind, it has to be AT&T phone, if your SIM is from AT&T.
  3. yeea kus all your doing is flashing it...
  4. Yes it will. I have also done the same thing, and bought a Go phone until I got paid and then I was able to get a better phone. I still have the Go phone as my back up just in case this phone I have gets damaged, etc.
  5. If the phone is unlocked (not attached to any network) then any sim card will work in it. Most nokia phones are network-free, or you can have a phone unlocked for a fee. Go to an independent store, or an ATT store where any phone will be compatible.
  6. If you buy an unlocked cell phone, it is ok
